About GO-SETU
Across East Africa, Christian leaders are answering a call but carrying it alone. Many are faithful, but unsupported. Many are serving, but spiritually depleted. Many are influencing others, while quietly running on empty.
GO-SETU exists to change that.
We train, mentor, and spiritually renew leaders across South Sudan, Ethiopia, Tanzania, and Uganda because when leaders are whole, the churches, communities, and nations they serve become whole too. That work reaches beyond the pulpit. In schools and refugee camps across the region, GO-SETU shares the gospel with children and young people, building real relationships and walking with new believers as they take root in the local church.
Where We Serve
GO-SETU stands for Global Outreach to South Sudan, Ethiopia, Tanzania, and Uganda. We serve these four nations through a focused, on-the-ground approach. East Africa’s borders don’t contain its challenges, and they don’t contain GO-SETU either.
Across the region, the deepest needs look much the same: widespread poverty, the strain of disease, and the daily work of leading where resources are thin. In the refugee camps of northern Uganda and South Sudan, that hardship is sharpened by displacement. National and language differences are real, but the lines that matter most here are tribal, so our people know the tribes they serve, honor their customs, and minister with genuine respect. And because tribes don’t stop at any border, neither does our work.
Each nation carries its own story, and we show up for all of them. Learn more about how we serve and support each country below, or by clicking here.

What We Believe
We believe the Church is God’s instrument for transformation and that healthy leaders are its backbone.
We believe displaced and marginalized communities deserve more than aid. They deserve leaders who are spiritually grounded, emotionally resilient, and equipped to serve for the long haul.
We believe a generation is being shaped right now. With half of East Africa under twenty, faith and worldview take root early, and the fields are full while the workers are few. So we equip leaders not only to strengthen the church, but to reach the children and youth who will carry it forward. We believe that investing in one leader multiplies through every life they touch.
Our Team
GO-SETU is led by a small, deeply committed team who live and serve in the very region they’re reaching.
Beth, Dickens, and Chris have spent decades walking alongside pastors, students, and young people across South Sudan, Ethiopia, Tanzania, and Uganda, and they lead the way they teach: with integrity, humility, and the kind of steadiness that holds up over the long haul.
Together they train and mentor church leaders, run student and youth conferences, and carry the hope of the gospel into schools and refugee settlements, always multiplying what they’ve been given through the people they raise up.
